Some Fabulousness!
11.27.12

Carolina Castiglioni’s home in Milan. Carolina is the daughter of Consuelo Castiglioni (designer of Marni) and her place is nothing short of fabulous. I have to mention that she has the most amazing lighting!

What a gorgeous high chair…the red goes so stylishly with the stainless kitchen!

Loving these little niches with heirloom vases in them.

Caracas

I love many things about this space…the Diesis cocktail table by B&B Italia, the gorgeous dark-honey lumber with a satin glow ceiling, the warm orange Sea rug by Mira Lehr for Odegard Collection, and the Eames walnut stools. It all flows so nicely together, creating a rich warm modern space.

Usually Overlooked
11.16.12

Usually, the hallway is an overlooked under-appreciated space. I love what Brininstool-lynch did with this hallway…they made it a beautiful transition space, one which I would love to hang out in.

For Today

A little lightness. This is one of my favorite sofas….the extra wall. Which, by the way, will be in my future dream mountain house in a camel chunky weave fabric. Loving the linear horizontal fireplace. From Monica Mauti.

Chic in Palm Beach
11.13.12

I am really loving this interior. It is fresh, chic, casual, streamlined and warm all in one. Kelly Klein’s home in Palm Beach, FL. Designed by David Piscuskas of 1100 Architect.

Vintage Hans J. Wegner chairs, a casual lean restoration hardware sofa, and my favorite coffee table of ALL time…the diesis table by Antonio Citterio! I love the juxtaposition of the chunky textural abaca rug with the clean hard lines of the coffee table and the softness of the sofa. LOVE!

The light fixture over the dining room table is by Workstead, and the seating near the fireplace is by Urban Zen. Love that outdoor fireplace by the way. I am very much appreciating the wood cedar ceilings, and teak doors. Radiant heat warms the cement and white limestone underfoot in the living area.

Another favorite, the FK 87 Grasshopper Chair in the corner. The length of the drapes are perfect…just touching with a hint of puddle. Gorgeous ceiling detailing with the drape track recessed and disappearing.  Wide-plank limed oak for the bedroom floors.

Restoration Hardware linens. What a cool photograph…a Flip Schulke photograph of Muhammad Ali.

Teak framed glass doors.

This stainless-steel standing shower by Marcel Wanders for Boffi has such a sense of humor. The area is enclosed by cypress walls and gates.

I’m back!
11.12.12

I’m back from celebrating me and my husband’s third year anniversary. We went back to the Calitoga Ranch where we got married. To say it was special is an understatement. This image completely reflects my mood during our sojourn. Enjoy the moment. I am going to try and stretch this feeling, but it’s so hard to when you get back home isn’t it?
