I’m Back

It’s so nice to be back. I’ve been working on our house in London…super fun but time consuming. I’ve fallen in love with Apparatus lighting. They make the most fabulous lights. Here is their studio. Trapeze wall lights and Arrow pendant below. The paneling in this room is also the perfect backdrop for these modern lights.

Chinese Lanterns

This is one of the most creative ideas I’ve seen in a while. These amazing vintage Chinese lanterns are draped with silk from World War II parachutes. These could go anywhere, but look particularly cool with this architecture. Photo by Eric Laignel

The Ultimate Parisien

Joseph Dirand’s Parisien apartment. The perfect merriment of classic and minimalist design.

A suede-covered Oscar Niemeyer chair. Obsessed with this chair!

A very tranquil monotone palate.

dirand bathroom

A huge chunk of marble with only a slight indent for the sink becomes the vanity. Waterworks fixtures.

The painting is by Lawrence Carroll. Pierre Jeanneret sofa and chairs.

New York Penthouse

This Jean-Royere sconce is amazing.  The cocktail table is a vintage piece by Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand.

A Royal Loo

I always love seeing interesting ways lighting is being used. Especially when it is hiding but yet accentuating something. A room just glows…I love how the light is a continuous vertical element peeking out from underneath this intensely gorgeous marble. I could be happy with the space without the chandelier and gilt mirror but love how the marble just wraps itself up from the floor to the wall.

I am in love

Rees Roberts + Partners are absolute perfection. I love everything they do. I am obsessed.

The texture on the fireplace is out of this world. The color palate is soothing and simple, creamy white walls, bleached wood, soft blues, sandy linens. David Weeks chandelier.

B&B italia chairs. Taraxacum light fixture. Smooth fabric walls….so sooooooft.

I could die in this kitchen. The view…the materials, the cabinetry!

David Weeks light fixture. It’s all so simple but so elegant.

Another David Weeks light fixture and sconces. B&B italia bed…one of my favorites, but you need a ceiling like this! A never ending looooooong clean thin window seat.

This sculptural light fixture is called the 21.50. It is stunning!

So High

A fantastic loft overlooking the High Line park in Manhattan. By Shamir Shah. Aaaaannnddd, I also happen to spot some fav Christian Liaigre pieces!

This is my favorite light fixture, by David Weeks.

Christian Liaigre sofa, floor lamp, side table and coffee table. Art by Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, and Andy Warhol.

Italian 1950’s armchairs.

Some Fabulousness!

Carolina Castiglioni’s home in Milan. Carolina is the daughter of Consuelo Castiglioni (designer of Marni) and her place is nothing short of fabulous. I have to mention that she has the most amazing lighting!

What a gorgeous high chair…the red goes so stylishly with the stainless kitchen!

Loving these little niches with heirloom vases in them.

Pierre Yovanovitch

Perfection. These floating jellyfish wire lights are beyond amazing. Love!
