Hello Monday
7.22.13

I’m really in love with this space. It feels very clean and open with expert detailing. I would imagine this home is in Belgium, you?

love how the door reaches all the way to the ceiling, not the mention how lovely the light drapes over the hallway.

tvdv 3

i also like how the ceiling is not punctuated with recessed cans everywhere…there is this one simple recessed fixture. the drapes reach the ceiling, adding height to the space.

again, this door detail is so minimal.

these drapes are so romantic in how they puddle to the floor, such a nice juxtaposition to the quiet feeling of the space.

The Bubalah’s room

This weekend’s post I shared my sweet girl’s newborn photos. Today I am sharing my little Elle belle, Elbow, Bubalah, little squiggle’s darling little nursery. Would love your thoughts.

Jenni Kayne
9.6.12

The fabulous fashion designer, Jenni Kayne’s spacious and comfy Beverly Hills home. Designed by Standard, an architectural firm in Los Angeles.

An easy going living room with a fireplace surround made of board-formed concrete. The windows are framed by reclaimed-oak beams and the ceiling is lined with salvaged-pine siding. The natural pendant lamp is by Treasurbite Design and the artworks are by Alison Van Pelt.

I LOVE LOVE this room! Between the teepee, the beni ourain rug, the elephant and the gorgeous white oak wood it is so perfect! Can you imagine finger painting in here? Custom cabinetry by Standard.

Summit Furniture armchairs. Beautiful!

Aww, how cute is this space for a baby’s room? Lots of cute little animals and love how the shelves are arranged. Plus the grasscloth wallpaper and blue painting are just perfect.

Barn in the snow
11.23.11

Remember this house by d’apostrophe design? Here is more!

I just love this punch of red from the vintage moroccan rug on the floor. My fav Living Divani sofa, the extra wall. A minimalist fireplace after my own heart. The floating panels above conceal ductwork…brilliant.

Dinesen wide-plank Douglas-fir floorboards. BDDW floor lamp.

Chairs and matching side table are vintage Allan Gould.

Amazingly cool speakers are by Proclaim Audioworks. Vintage Belgian chair. I could totally practice yoga here, you?

Super cute ducduc beds.

Bunk beds
11.9.11

I love the idea of creative bunk beds for kids. There is just something fantastical about them.

So creative and linear. Would love to wake up to that view. Yh2 Architect.

This looks comfortable and totally a great use of space.

Nice with the wood wall separating the two sides.

Great colors! Design by John Maniscalco.

A special day
11.8.11

Today is my two year wedding anniversary! My husband and I are celebrating in Madrid. This is for you my love, one day you will have a mountain house, I promise!

Aerin Lauder’s perfectly warm yet contemporary mountain house in Aspen.

I would take one of those cozy jackets…although I hope it is faux fur!

Vintage chair and nightstands. Feels toasty and intimate, created by dynamic natural textures of wool, woods and furs.

This is my favorite room. The wood wall, the wood pendant, fur pillows and of course a friendly little bear.
